She had given me a ton of her teddy bears and keepsakes for my birthday. â€Å"Why are you giving me all of your stuff?† I asked her while she gave me her gifts. â€Å"Kaylin, I want you to remember me no matter,† she had replied weakly. I remember how miserable I felt that night going to sleep; I was crying the whole night with one of Brit’s teddy bears in my arms and wishing that she did not die. Christmas is not a time to cry and mourn the loss of a loved one, it was a time to cherish with them. For weeks, I would feel sad every now and then when I thought about Brit and how I could not see her anymore. My mom told me eventually that even though she was gone, that she would always be with me in my heart and that I should celebrate her life, not that she was dead. I knew that when my mom gave me a piece of advice that I should let go of Brit, it was my time to move on and enjoy the rest of my life, not to be miserable and cry over someone. To this day, I still visit my grandparents’ house ever few years since my grandfather has not really been in contact with us since Brit died. When I went over to their house in May, I remember that the house did not feel like the warm, cozy place that was so familiar when growing up as a child. The thing I remember the most being there was that Brit’s old decorations and plants were still there which made me smile a bit because it made me feel like she was still alive and with us. I still remember her every once in a blue moon which makes me a little melancholic every now and then. Gideon 2 Jdgs. 7:1-25 The passage that I am working on is Gideon 2, Jdgs. 7:1-25. When I first read this passage I thought that it was about Gideon and his troops conquering Midian. As I see it, the main concept of the passage is that, but it tells of much more. After reading the passage once, I had many questions about it. I first wondered Why did Gideon and his troops conquer Midian? I also thought, How and why is God going to help Gideon and his soldiers? I was very curious of how 300 me were to overtake an entire city. Why would God help them take over Midian? I read the passage a few more times, and read a different translation. That helped me enormously in understanding the text. The reason that Midian was to be conquered was to save Israel from the incursions of the Midianites. Gideon was called by the angel of God to do so. In reading different translations, I found that Gideon did not actually fight. God fought all of the battle himself. With God fighting, the 300 soldiers did not have to battle. God must have helped the Israelites because they are the people of God. Gideon, also known as Jerubbaal, means hewer or warrior. He was the son of Joash, and in the Abiezri clan, part of the Manasseh tribe. The story of the Midianites being attacked to free the Israelites from incursions is a lot like the story of the Israelites being set free from slavery. Without God, neither story would have turned out the way it did. God made it possible to defeat the Midianites. God made it possible to convince Pharaoh to free the Israelites. The point I am trying to get across is that God has done many things that show he cares for his people has helped them out of many hardships. The Israelites would have had a much tougher life if their God had not helped them. This passage teaches us that with Gods help anything can be done. In modern day God helps us out of trouble like he did with the Israelites, but with our daily lives. We may not all realize how God helps us, but he does.

This is an example of the sheer irony aggravated by subtle ignorance which penetrates all corners of the world today. The turning of a blind eye on the real underlying reasons behind apparently benevolent things comprise the entirety of the central story of the article, and this flaw can be easily translated into more understandable word, and one of t hose words is hypocrisy, hypocrisy both of the governments and of the peoples. It is as if globalization does not work the way mankind had envisioned it a century ago. And upon this comes the issue of the nature of man; in spite of his genius, there still are people who are blessed with the eerie ability to propagate evil and make blossom the ills of the world. Lest man has forgotten, great responsibility comes with great power, and by that adage, it need not be disputed that man carries the sole responsibility for the implications of his creations. If only man was innately good, then these problems would not have risen. B ut that is the main irresolvable malady: the enemy of man is himself and the bitterest adversaries of his morality are his greed and his insatiability, all the facets of amorality. If this can not be evaded, the world indeed is a giant satanic mill, so to speak. Patients with FXS showed decreased functional connectivity in the salience, precuneus, left executive control, language, and visuospatial networks compared with controls. Decreased fALFF in the bilateral insular, precuneus, and anterior cingulate cortices also was found in patients with FXS compared with control participants, it is evident that FXS is a neurogenetic disorder characterized by a cognitive and behavioral phenotype resembling features of autism spectrum disorder. Boom, boom! Boom, boom! The kind of bass that drains batteries and the kind of lyrics that unload clips, these are the sounds that rap music produces. I chose this topic because I am extremely interested in rap music and I want to explore the violent aspect of the industry. I have never had a chance to look at the violent side of it and I plan to find answers to questions I have in my search. Tupac Shakur is one of my favorite artists and when he was shot and killed I really started to take notice of the violence. People were getting killed because of an image that was being set. What I really want to know, however, is why rappers feel compelled to graphically describe the violence. In my search I plan to find out reasons behind the deaths of Tupac and the Notorious B.I.G. Was there some kind of connection between both of their deaths? I believe that rap music was never violent until "gangsta" rap came about. What sparked this change and who was behind it? I want to explore "gangsta" rap from the beginning until now. I want to research the major players in the rap game, who they are and what some of their lyrics are saying. Today our society is bursting at the seams with violence. There is fighting in other countries like Kosovo, shootings in schools, and violence on television. In my opinion, though, nothing has a greater effect on the youth of America than rap music. However, this isn’t a new issue, there has been violence in rap music for years. Such as, gang violence, references to drive-by shootings and homicides in songs. Since this is such a broad topic I will explore the violent side and history of the industry, the lyrics, as well as the artists. Eazy-E (Eric Wright) started this group along with four friends Dr. Dre (Andre Young), MC Ren (Geronimo Pratt), Ice Cube ( O’ Shea Jackson) and DJ Yella and they soon became the most controversial group ever to hit the industry. In 1989 they released the album, Straight Outta Compton, and a wave of fear was sent over the country, it was an instant classic. With disturbing song titles ranging from "F*ck Tha Police" to "Gangsta, gangsta" caused the FBI and the LAPD (Los Angeles Police Department) to invest... ...t’s most influential rappers, gangsta rap has essentially died with it. Today there is still violence in rap music, but things aren’t as bad as they were. There is still lots of references to killings and gang violence, but things have calmed down and things aren’t so tense around rap music anymore. In my search I have learned a lot about N.W.A, for instance I never knew that there was so much controversy surrounding them when they first came on the scene. I Page 7 learned a lot about artists lyrics, a lot are just due to rivalries that were formed. From the myths that I read concerning Tupac’s death I have a really strong feeling that he is still alive. In retrospect I fell that I am ahead of where I wanted to be at the end of this paper. I have such a good knowledge of gangsta rap’s roots until now and who the major players are. The one thing that surprised me was when I found out the F.B.I and LAPD investigated N.W.A. I think that was a little bit of overreacting . I felt that I made good progress on this paper, I found information that I needed and my interviewee was very cooperative. I really enjoyed doing my search, it was a topic I chose myself, so I had fun conducting it.

Geometry is concerned with recognizing shapes and recounting spatial relationships that exist, it deals with analyzing characteristics and attributes of two- and three-dimensional geometric shapes, geometry also is concerned with creating mathematical opinions concerning geometric relationships, such as locations, symmetry, transformations, visualization and coordinate geometry. Measurement is another standard which is concerned with terms of discovering assessable attributes and evaluating objects by using these attributes. Data analysis and probability is concerned with application of data management and probability techniques, such as data collection, organization, data analyses, sorting and using inferences. The other standards are problem solving where students should be able to derive solutions of problems, Reasoning and Proof where the answers to the problems can be verified by mathematical means, Communication in terms of conversing the answers derived and methodology used, Connections in establishing relationship between different mathematical techniques and representation where students should be able to represent the problems and the solutions.
